"The Great Book of Chicago Sports Lists," the brand new book by WSCR's Dan McNeil and Crain's Ed Sherman officially comes out this coming Tuesday the 13th. As the title suggests, the book is made up of numerous lists, containing the best ___, the worst ___, the most significant ___, and so on. It isn't just dry, boring lists, though. The book contains humor, stories and memories of Chicago and it's rich sports history. In addition to all of the writing by McNeil & Sherman, the book also has chapters written by such guest writers as Chet Coppock, Chuck Swirsky, Terry Boers, John Jurkovic, Mike North, Dan Jiggetts, Hawk Harrelson, Pat Hughes, Len Kasper, Dick Butkus, the late, great Norm Van Lier, and many others. The book contains a whopping 118 chapters and over 250 pages. The new paperback is being published by Running Press and retails at $14.95.

This has been a long term project for Mr. McNeil & Mr. Sherman and it's nice to see the book finally getting released.

As I mentioned, the official release date for "The Great Book of Chicago Sports Lists" is this coming Tuesday. However, many Chicago's bigger book stores have the book in stock right now! It is also available right now at 32% off the cover price -- only $10.17. Order at least $25 in merchandise and you will get free shipping and charged no tax.
