: : : Steve McEwen = Steve Fisher, former Q101, CD94.7, and 9FM personality.

: :
: : Mark McEwen was/is a weatherman on the CBS morning news, he also was a DJ at the loop back when Steve Dahl was first on there. As for Ms. Nissenson, she also owned a boutique down the street from her house, the store was on the SW corner of Wrightwood and Southport

:
: I'm not 100% sure if they're still married today, but I remember Mary Nissenson & Mike Parker were more than just co-anchors of CBS2's weekend evening newscast & street reporters in the early '90s before Mary left the market completely.

: As for Mark McEwen, he was the weatherman on the little-watched "CBS Morning News & "CBS This Morning". Onetime CBS2 weatherman Dave Price now has those duties on what they call "The Early Show". There was also a Steve McEwen who changed his radio name to Steve Fisher, and yes, he did work at Q101 and 94.7 FM when the station was known as "The ZONE" before joining "Nine FM". Unfortunately, I doubt seriously that this is the same Steve McEwen who sold Ms. Nissenson the house now on the verge of foreclosure.

Mike and Mary are most certainly not married any more, they were divorced ages ago. I heard it from a little birdie that it was Mike who encouraged (perhaps not a strong enough word) Mary to have the surgery which ended up destroying her career and taking away a big chunk of her quality of life.

Her store was called Bali Muse and the slogan was "Imagine Something Beautiful". She sold beaded necklaces and jewelry, and her plan was to have people buy vouchers ahead of time so that she would not deal directly with cash when making a jewelry sale. Strange business model, to be sure. Some of the profits were to go to a nonprofit organisation that supports people with chronic pain.

Mary is a really kind and generous person, and it is absolutely tragic how one stroke of a scalpel did so much harm to a very talented and decent human being.
