Power 92.3 To Blanket Peoria

REGENT BROADCASTING Top 40/Rhythmic WZPW (POWER 92.3)/PEORIA will hold its second annual "Blanket PEORIA" charity blanket drive from now through DECEMBER 14th. The drive is designed to collect new blankets that will be donated to local shelters and missions to assist in keeping people warm this winter.

"I feel so blessed that I have a warm house to live in during the winter months," PD JASON PARKINSON said. "Not everyone in CENTRAL ILLINOIS is as lucky. You can buy new blankets for less than three dollars a piece at most major retailers, so we know that our listeners will come through and help us meet our goal"

POWER 92.3's blanket goal at 100 blankets this year. The blankets will be donated to the various charities on DECEMBER 14th. "Being warm in the winter is something that is often taken for granted," REGENT BROADCASTING/PEORIA VP/Market Manager J.R. GREELEY said. "I'm glad the community can come together and help provide this basic need that many people go without."
