It is indeed a format flip. All-Christmas music is a format, but usually one that is only played in November & December. If you hear a station playing Holiday music in the Summer, it is just a day or two stunt before another full format flip.

Around January 1st, WLIT will flip again, but there is a 99% chance it will flip right back to what it was earlier this week.

: : Is it really considered a "flip" I have never heard that term to describe when WLIT has switched to Christmas music...I always thought a flip was a format change and Christmas music isn't an official format as far as I know...
