I listened to Avenue 950 Saturday night and really enjoyed the variety of music, although the signal was not that great. In the 2 hours I listened, I only heard one commercial and that was for a swing band appearance in Chicago. It would seem to me that the owners, Sovereign City Broadcasting, would want to sell national and local spot commercials as this is one of a kind programming in Chicago. The programming is one of those best kept secrets that most people don't know about. Why not advertise on billboards and on television. I fear that Avenue 950 may be just placeholder programming on the air until Sovereign City sells the station.
