Chicago improv comic Jimmy Carrane, the frequent contributor to Chicago Public Radio WBEZ-FM (91.5), will be getting an hour of his own on Memorial Day.

Pre-empting "Eight Forty-Eight," his "Studio 312 Comedy Special" will air at 9 a.m. (with a rerun at 8 p.m.) Monday.

Carrane's guests will be Jeff Garlin of "Curb Your Enthusiasm," Horatio Sanz of "Saturday Night Live" and Matt Walsh of the Upright Citizens Brigade.

"We just hope he doesn't blow it," said Ron Jones, WBEZ vice president of programming. "We feel this is the least we could do for him. Literally."
