Clear Channel Names Tom Casey CFO

SAN ANTONIO - (Business Wire) Clear Channel Communications, Inc. today announced that it has named Tom Casey as Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President, effective January 1, 2010. Casey will oversee the Company's financial activities and will report to Mark Mays, President and CEO. He assumes the position from Randall Mays, who will become Vice Chairman of Clear Channel.

"Tom has a stellar track record of meeting long-term financial and operating goals in his previous positions, and is just the type of leader who will help bring Clear Channel to new heights," said Mays. "His extensive knowledge and experience in the finance field will be an enormous asset to our company and we're happy to welcome him to Clear Channel."

Casey joins Clear Channel from Washington Mutual (WaMu), where he was Executive Vice President and CFO. During his six-year tenure at WaMu, Casey transformed finance from a reporting and control function to a strategic business partner. Prior to WaMu, Casey served as a Vice President of GE and SVP & CFO of GE Financial, where he developed a combination of strong financial, operational and strategic expertise. Tom started his career with Coopers & Lybrand.

"I am pleased to join Clear Channel and assume leadership of the Company's financial function," said Casey. "Our top priority will be to build shareholder value as we optimize management of this unique set of assets. I am excited to be working with Mark Mays and the management team to position Clear Channel to benefit as we emerge from this economic slowdown."

Casey, CPA, holds a B.S. in Accounting from Kings College and will be based in San Antonio.
