Not mentioned in Robert Feder's blog is the fact that Cisco has been working at WIND these last couple of months without a contract. I've found out that John Howell took a one year contract a couple of months back, but Cisco was unhappy with the one year offer shown to him, which was lower than what they made last year and has been trying to negotiate a better deal with Salem. Unfortunately, I've been told negotiating with Salem is like negotiating with a tree stump. (Howell was supposedly not happy with the offer, either, but begrudgingly took it. He was given his new solo Saturday night show as a perk for signing.) Salem does not have the money or motivation to pay local talent, though, so if WLS makes any kind of decent offer, WIND cannot and will not match it. In other words... Cisco is going back to WLS.
