Two Morning Show Hosts Out: Brant Miller & Libby Collins

Tuesday, 05 January 2010

WLS-FM's Brant Miller is now gone. Brant, who first became famous in Chicago as a DJ on Musicradio WLS-AM in the late 70's and WLS-FM in the 80's, became a meteorologist in the late 80's. Miller started doing weather forecasts for WFLD-TV in 1989 and later moved over to WMAQ-TV. In April of 2008, he returned to the rock & roll airwaves, becoming the morning show host on WZZN-FM, soon after re-branded as WLS-FM. His radio days seem to be over, though. He remains the chief meteorologist for NBC5's afternoon and evening newscasts. WLS-FM is now searching for a replacement morning host.

Suburban Lake County's WKRS-AM morning show host and program director Libby Collins is also supposedly out as of this week. Libby had been with WKRS since 2003. A suburban radio veteran of over 20 years, Libby was previously the morning drive host on WAIT-AM 850.
