One of the few originals at "The SCORE" since signing on as a sports talker in 1992 at 820 AM, George Ofman, is leaving the radio station, says the Daily Herald's Ted Cox. The veteran sports update anchor is leaving WSCR 670 to become a field reporter for Mike North's new Internet sports talk radio station ChicagoSportsWebio.com, when it launches April 6th, coinciding with the start of the baseball season. In addition to announcing the start date for North's new sports talk venture, Mike also announced today that former White Sox slugger Ron Kittle has been hired by ChicagoSportsWebio as the station's new baseball analyst. The Web site did suffer a setback, as Teddy Greenstein's bosses at the Chicago Tribune suddenly wouldn't allow the reporter/columnist to join the new site. North & Program Director Jesse Rogers plan on hiring a replacement for Greenstein.
