They're union there. Starting rate is something like $16/hr for part-timers. Full-timers make a higher percentage of what part-timers make, so the co. saves money by hiring more PT'ers to work a certain amount of hours instead of paying FT'ers to do it. Scale for FT is around $36K or so. Any "experienced" ones left there now definitely make more than that, but not much.
: How much do these positions pay? I was always under the impression that it was sort of a part-time gig and more of an entry level radio gig and therefore mostly younger people lacking experience that could afford to take the job.
